General English Language for Teens
Programme Overview
Our General English programmes for teenagers are typically for learners aged 12 to 17 years. The programmes are designed to prepare students for the next stage of their education, helping them to become confident, responsible, engaged and innovative. Our goal is to provide a broad and balanced education for learners and help them to thrive throughout their school life, work and life beyond the school.
What will students learn?
Our Cambridge English Programmes teach universal topics such as the environment, education and keeping healthy. Learners will:
develop the skills needed for further education and the workplace.
understand their place in an interconnected world.
become confident communicators, able to apply their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills effectively in everyday situations.
see themselves as readers, engaging with a range of texts for information and pleasure, including texts from different times and cultures.
develop speaking and listening skills for effective presentation and collaboration.
see themselves as writers, using the written word clearly and creatively for a range of different audiences and purposes.
develop a broad vocabulary and an understanding of how to apply grammar and linguistic conventions appropriately.
How are the topics taught?
We teach our curriculum using a wide range of activities and resources that promote experience, reflection and improvement. Our programmes include interactive activities, video presentations, games, hands on practice and a broad range of fiction genres, poetry, playscripts and non fiction texts to provide an authentic context for improvement.
Our teachers monitor the students’ progress and provide periodical feedback to help learners improve and develop their skills to achieve academic success.
